In an age where music is constantly skipped, shuffled, or left playing in the background, Obscura invites you to slow down and return to the essence of listening: experiencing an album from start to finish, in total darkness, without distraction.
For this edition, Obscura presents Trying Times by James Blake.
Intimate and emotionally exposed, the record moves between fragile piano, submerged bass, and near-silence. Songs unfold patiently, allowing space for tension, vulnerability, and release. Rather than demanding attention, the music rewards surrender. It isn't background music. It's presence.
Ic3y Mag and Cinéma Moderne invite you to experience the album in a carefully calibrated cinema space. Upon arrival, you will be given an eye mask to heighten the experience and encourage a pure, unfiltered connection to the music. No visuals. No screens. Just sound, breath, and darkness.
The cinema becomes a suspended listening chamber, a place where distraction fades and emotion surfaces.
This session is presented in collaboration with Good Boy Records and continues the celebration of Ic3y Mag's first print issue, The Archive Issue, available on site.
