On Christmas Eve, a huge, rambunctious extended Italian-American family gather upon their small Long Island hometown for what could be the last holiday in their ancestral home. As the night wears on, while hijinks and generational squabbles ensue, two of the teenage cousins take advantage of the chaos to sneak out into the wintry suburb and claim the holiday for their own.
