Special screening with filmmaker Philippe Ducros in attendance
A overworked man decides to travel to certain First Nations communities in Quebec in search of meaning, healing, and a different way of understanding the world. He attempts to grasp the devastation caused by colonialism inflicted on these Nations by a system that still benefits him. His journey even takes him into the prison system, where the overrepresentation of Indigenous people reflects the traumas inherited by these populations and the enduring systemic racism. Based on various testimonies, this narrative questions our relationship with Indigenous reserves and natural reserves, as well as the colonization of both territory and thought.
