In an age where music is constantly skipped, shuffled, or left playing in the background, Obscura invites you to slow down and return to the essence of listening: experiencing an album from start to finish, in total darkness, without distraction.
As part of Montréal's Nuit Blanche, we present an afterdark edition of Obscura featuring Space Is Only Noise by Nicolas Jaar. Released in 2011, the album quietly redefined electronic music through restraint, intimacy, and negative space. Built from whispers, field recordings, fragmented rhythms, and deep silence, Space Is Only Noise is not meant to be consumed. It's meant to be entered.
Ic3y Mag and Cinéma Moderne invite you to (re)discover this cult record in a carefully calibrated cinema space. Upon arrival, you will be given an eye mask to heighten the experience and encourage a pure, unfiltered connection to the music. No visuals. No screens. Just sound, breath, and darkness.
This special Nuit Blanche edition takes place late into the night, turning the cinema into a suspended listening chamber for those willing to fully disconnect.
This event also continues the celebration of Ic3y Mag's first print issue, The Archive Issue, available on site.
