June 8th screening with filmmaker Joseph Hillel in attendance
In Haiti in the time of cholera and street gangs, artists use the performing arts as a mode of resistance. Even faced with hunger and fear, theatre allows them to shine a spotlight on the dignity and courage of the Haitian people. Their stories intertwine fiction and reality. Theater is everywhere: in the streets, in Vodou, in politics.
